Nuestro Cuerpo: El Universo Interior tiene como objetivo brindar a nuestros visitantes una comprensión más profunda de la forma y función del cuerpo humano, así como apreciar nuestras similitudes y las sutiles diferencias que nos hacen únicos. Se exhiben ejemplos contrastantes de órganos y especímenes sanos y enfermos a lo largo de la exposición, con la esperanza de que nuestros visitantes adopten estilos de vida más saludables, si aún no lo hacen.

SOBRE NUESTRO ASESOR MÉDICO
El Dr. Walter Isaac Hofman, médico, fue el asesor y consultor médico de la exposición OUR BODY: The Universe Within. El Dr. Hofman era un reconocido y respetado médico forense especializado en patología, quien aportó sus conocimientos y experiencia a The Universe Within Touring Company, LLC para la presentación de la exposición OUR BODY: The Universe Within. Con años de experiencia como médico forense del condado de Dallas, Texas, y director médico interino del condado de Gloucester, Nueva Jersey, el Dr. Hofman estaba cualificado para guiar profesional y médicamente la presentación de la exposición en sus diversos componentes educativos, médicos y anatómicos. El Dr. Hofman aportó a la exposición no solo una visión general de la trayectoria del estudio de la anatomía humana, sino también de su futuro en términos de tecnología e investigación. El Dr. Hofman, diplomado por la Junta Estadounidense de Patología, estaba certificado en Patología Anatómica, Forense y Clínica. Entre sus nombramientos en la facultad de medicina se incluyen una cátedra de Patología Clínica en la prestigiosa Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Temple en Filadelfia y una cátedra de Patología en la venerable y distinguida Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Pensilvania. El Dr. Hofman tuvo el honor de ser nombrado becario docente en la Facultad de Medicina de Harvard.

OUR BODY: The Universe Within is a fascinating educational exhibit consisting of actual human bodies, specimens and organs. Appropriate for all ages, this exhibit literally goes under the skin to reveal the mysteries of the human anatomy.
OUR BODY: The Universe Within allows you the insight to the inside! Visitors to the exhibition will journey through galleries relative to each system of the human body. This extraordinary exhibition was designed to educate, enlighten, and to spark an interest and understanding of the complex universe within each of us.
OUR BODY: The Universe Within is comprised of over 200 specimens that have been preserved using a method known as polymer impregnation. Each gallery within the exhibit provides information about specific systems of the human body and each display is presented in a concise, factual and dignified manner.
OUR BODY: The Universe Within reveals the complexity of the human body by allowing our visitors the opportunity to examine the composition of the human body up-close and in great detail.
MISSION STATEMENT
OUR BODY: The Universe Within's aim is to provide our visitors with a deeper understanding of the form and function(s) of the human body as well as to appreciate our similarities and the subtle differences, which makes each of us unique! Contrasting examples of healthy and diseased organs and specimens are displayed throughout the exhibit with the intended hope for our visitors to make healthier lifestyle choices, if not already in the practice of doing so.
