IT IS A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY AND RESPECT.
OUR BODY: The Universe Within's aim is to provide our visitors with a deeper understanding of the form and function(s) of the human body, as well as to appreciate our similarities and the subtle differences which make each of us unique.
Contrasting examples of healthy and diseased organs and specimens are displayed throughout the exhibit, with the intended hope that visitors will make healthier lifestyle choices — if not already in the practice of doing so.
Comprised of over 200 specimens preserved through polymer impregnation, each gallery presents information about a specific system of the human body, in a manner that is concise, factual, and dignified.
Medical Advisor
Dr. Halter Isaac Hofman, M.D
Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology, certified in Anatomic, Forensic, and Clinical Pathology. Former Medical Examiner for Dallas County, Texas, and Acting Medical Director for Gloucester County, New Jersey. Held professorships at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania, and a teaching fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
